"Pops came to the Grand Opening. Meant more to me than the store. Some won't understand." -Scotty ATL

The glass slipper off but my pynn is down, let’s get into it.
When Grillz by Scotty opened its second location on Melrose Avenue—on Juneteenth 2021, no less—it wasn’t just a ribbon-cutting. It was a cultural moment. Scotty ATL, rapper, entrepreneur, and Southern gentleman, made history as the first Black-owned grillz shop to set up shop on Melrose.
Known for his high-quality custom grillz and A-list clientele—Killer Mike, T.I., David Banner, Big K.R.I.T., K. Michelle, Trouble, Trinidad James, Goodie Mob, and yes, yours truly, Pynnderella—Scotty’s second storefront brought Atlanta flavor straight to LA’s most iconic boulevard. But celebrity aside, Grillz by Scotty is built on intention: quality craftsmanship, unmatched hospitality, and legacy-building energy.
Open 7 days a week, 11am–8pm, the shop offers custom molds in gold, rose gold, silver, and platinum—or you can come through for a simple teeth cleaning. Every client is treated like royalty, whether they’re getting a classic gold cap or a full diamond set.
The grand opening? A full-on block party. Hosted by Wild N Out’s DoBoy, the event featured live DJ sets, a basketball tournament, a PHAT TACOS food truck, and an in-store mural unveiling—a purple-lipped, gold-slugged masterpiece tagged with “ATL 2 LA.” It was giving art, it was giving culture, and it was giving community.
Three high-end giveaways kept the crowd buzzing, while Scotty ATL toasted the moment with champagne, his team all in white, fresh off a flight from Atlanta. After a heartfelt speech, he placed real gold grillz on a white statue of himself in the window—grinning at the traffic on Melrose like a king surveying his kingdom.
And let’s talk about the team. Individually skilled. Collectively powerful. Every grill tech brought their own story, style, and flavor. But under Scotty’s leadership, they moved like family—an Atlanta-rooted, LA-expanded tribe making teeth sparkle and spirits rise.
Even Papa Scotty and Scotty’s sister were in the building, watching with pride. Because this wasn’t just a business move—it was a Black legacy moment. And that pride? You could feel it.
So whether you’re an artist, a boss, or just ready to smile a little flashier, pull up to the Grillz by Scotty flagship in West LA, or hit the Candler Rd. location in Atlanta. Because this isn’t just about flexing—it’s about elevating.
Me? I’m patiently waiting for my open-face grill. I’ve already got the pose ready. Pinky on tooth. Mug on mean. Confidence on ten.
When I say Grillz by, you say SCOOOTTY!
The culture moves fast, but my ink is quicker.
