Having a blog is fun and rewarding since I get to share my personal experiences and growth. I started Pynn'd Poshyns. to express myself how I want, when I want, and on my own terms. My blogging process is unique and includes settling into a peaceful space before deciding on a topic. I write about everything from faith and motherhood to self-love and dating. Occasionally, I shock myself when emotions get mixed into my creativity. Let's get into it!

Title
Before I write an article I draw out my thoughts on the topic and choose a title. I always have to choose a title first because, I don't know, it just helps me decide on an exact purpose for the article. Then, I write an intro that resonates with me, yet spicy enough to draw the attention of readers.
Once I have a few article titles and ideas in mind, I start thinking of possible blog series I can introduce. Sometimes, there is no need for a series, and sometimes I can get one thought out with many different thoughts, ending with the same value.
Get Comfy
When I sit down to write my rough drafts, the first thing I do is get comfy. I have an in-home office with an L-shaped desk. I love my office but sometimes lying in the corner of my couch or propped up on 3 pillows with my computer in my lap is more comfortable to me. My favorite writing style, though, is packing up a portable wi-fi, laptop, journal, pyn, snacks, and a highlighter and spending an entire day laid out on a blanket at the beach. I get to soak up the sun while writing to the tranquil sounds of the ocean.
I need to be 100% relaxed to wryte for long periods, or at all. However, no matter how comfortable I am, If I have unfinished tasks or anything my mind will wander and I am unable to focus.
Clear my Mind
Once I’m fully comfortable, I do meditation exercises to clear my mind. If I don’t start with meditation I put myself in a good mood with my favorite songs blasting or call up a bestie for a good, progressive conversation about goals and the future!
If there is anything heavy on my mind, I am
unable to write with my mind wandering or losing focus.
Create an Outline
Last but not least, I absolutely have to start each article with a full-proof outline, ready with sources, research, points I plan to include, photographs, and whatever else I need to add as context.
Writing articles takes preparation and for me, it also takes a clear mind and a comfortable writing haven. I never expect to pick up and pyn and craft a quality piece of work amid chaos. Writing is like therapy and should be treated as such.
When you go to prepare your own articles, get your head and your heart together and write with your soul. Find your happy place.
