The 2022 screening of 'Truffle Sauce' was held on the rooftop of the Andaz Hotel, in West Hollywood on July 26th, and the short film certainly brought the stars out!
Writer, 'Shannan E. Johnson' and producer, 'Isaac Yowman', joined forces to create a short film inspired by the power and freedom of black women across the globe.
Black women have suffered from generational and systemic trauma for years and this film depicts a version of an attitude we, as a whole, adopted as a result of weighing the pressures of the world.
The main character, Tweet, played by 'Simone Haines', is a young black woman who sells Truffle Sauce in a grocery store as a means to get by. Tweet doesn't love her position, however, it serves as a better means of livelihood than the one she held on the street, dealing with domestic violence, pimps, and an exotic lifestyle.
A message to be taken from Truffle Sauce is to: Condition your heart to extend grace to those around you, you never know what someone is dealing with or healing from.
Echoing Soundz kept the invite-only event star-studded, allowing for top-tier connections and networking opportunities.
The Truffle Sauce castmates and creative team mixed and mingled around the event and every seat was filled as a poet opened the screening for the film.
Models, Influencers, Recording Artists, Directors, Filmmakers, Writers, Management, producers, and Marketers graced the red carpet last night. Actors and actresses from hit shows and movies like, 'Black Panther', 'Power Rangers', 'Snowfall', 'NOPE', 'White Men Can't Jump', and more we in the building!
The Andaz rooftop was the perfect location. Beautiful floor to ceiling windows covered the entire back wall, displaying a panoramic view of Los Angeles and surroundong buildings on Sunset blvd. and the pool and spa were just steps away. The vibes were amazing and professional friendships were on the horizon.
